The Great War is over, and Rose the tattooed lady is eager to join the Circus Salmagundi’s sideshow, but her performance in the seaside town of Esquimalt is cut short when she is accused of a brutal murder. To clear her name, Rose must root out the real killer, but her investigation unravels a seedy history of stolen art and hidden identities. Is the murderer a drifter, a villager . . . or one of her circus troupe?
