Synopsis:

In the year 2145, the rise in the average surface temperature of the earth has breached the six degree Celsius barrier. Elevating sea levels and land aridity coupled with extreme weather patterns have forced populations to migrate away from increasingly uninhabitable areas in search of food security, resulting in unsustainable ‘climate refugee’ settlements. When the Legacy Corporation introduces massive climate sanctuaries based on their agricultural biodome technology, the new residents find the promised Utopia to be far from idyllic as corrupt government officials and militant activists pursue opposing agendas. No Line on the Horizon sweeps readers up in a gripping tale of betrayal, survival, and the ultimate immutability of human nature. Through the eyes of several compelling characters, including a brilliant but troubled Artificial Lifeform Architect, two young insurgents and a police detective alongside his Artificial partner, we witness the unfolding of a war between those who are invested in saving the planet and those who are bent on survival at all costs.
