Author headshotPoet, novelist, playwright, creative writing instructor, performance artist . . .dedicated 20 years to organizing Fringe Festivals in Port Alberni and the Fraser Valley, wrote, directed and produces 30 of her own plays, taught improv and theatre to children, teens, people with brain injuries and mentored many women raising $90,000 over 15 years of Producing and Directing Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues. A working writer hired by health organizations, arts’ groups and for Chamber of Commerce events doing murder mysteries, radio plays and performance art. Gwynne has published five books; the last two with Silver Bow Publishing, Unlocking the Tin Box and through My Lens. Her newest work is Coddiwomple a poetry chapbook. She spent six years researching missing and murdered women and children in Canada producing her first book rampage; the pathology of an epidemic. Her first poetry book was bruises & bad haircuts.

Synopsis:

This book features research linking newspaper articles together weaving a story based on memory, imagination and fact. The narrative begins in he 1930s through to the 1980s based on real people who were cons, carnies and one of them was known as the Big Boss of Powell Street, Vancouver. The man Hunt thought was her real father was a vagrant, a thief, a murder suspect, and a drug dealer. His first wife and step-son were involved in the biggest drug bust the West Coast had ever seen. It was an eventful upbringing,
