Synopsis:

Although the relationships between North America and Mexico have a long history behind the,, this composite novel explores the desires, fears and expectations both “gringos” and Mexicans put against each other. Mexico, its towns and countryside are the background where this series of strongly connected short stories happen. It is not easy for any of the characters to find what they are looking for. In most of the stories there are everlasting consequences for that ideal which the North American traveller places on that land of the south. Death is present, as well as pathos, and they seem to go side by side with this clash od cultures that geography cannot solve.
