Author headshotK. R. Schultz grew up on a small farm in northern Alberta where isolation engendered his love for literature of all kinds. Ken is an eternal optimist, a lifelong learner, and creator of stories that bring smiles to people’s faces. He has written and published several articles, poems, and short stories. After retiring in he moved to the Comox valley fourteen years ago to pursue his passion for writing.
He is currently working on the first draft of his fourth novel in the Songs of Aarda fantasy series. He is also preparing a first draft of a new project, an adventure thriller “The Holiday” set in Thailand.
Ken believes in storytelling’s power and ability to unite people. He strives to create stories that are both thought-provoking and entertaining. He hopes to inspire others to explore their unique gifts and talents while finding joy in the process.

Synopsis:

Aarda’s three sentient species are caught in a millennia-long war. The Eniila and the Abrhaani have nearly destroyed each other, but the Sokai have vanished. While they fought, new Gods arose, hungry, and ready to consume all life on Aarda. Exiled scholar Rehaak uncovers clues to the new gods centuries-old conspiracy against his people and is pursued by an ancient cult of demon worshipers. Meanwhile, Laakea, a runaway teen, flees his home, believing his abusive father is out to kill him. When Rehaak rescues Laakea, they become Sword Brothers and discover their roles in the cosmic conflict.
